Der 24. Denkmalpflegebericht vermittelt Einblicke in die vielschichtige Tatigkeit der kantonalen Fachstelle in den Jahren 2017 und 2018. In diesem Zeitraum konnte eine stattliche Anzahl teils aufwendiger Restaurierungen offentlicher wie privater Baudenkmaler erfolgreich abgeschlossen werden. Die Mehrheit der Arbeiten, die denkmalpflegerisch durch Mitarbeitende der beiden Ressorts Bauberatung und Dokumentation begleitetet wurden, konnten mit finanziellen Mitteln aus dem dafur eingerichteten Fonds unterstutzt werden. Vorgangig erfolgten haufig baugeschichtliche, restauratorische, materialtechnische oder statische Abklarungen. Im Rahmen der Auswertung samtlicher Dokumente gelang es wiederum, den Kenntnisstand zu bedeutenden Zurcher Baudenkmalern entscheidend zu erweitern.
