Hair is found in many forms in many collections throughout the museum world, and can present various problems of preservation and conservation. The range of papers in this publication demonstrates the cross-disciplinary aspects of the use of hair – in textiles, ethnography and taxidermy specimens – as well as providing an insight into the complex chemistry of hair.
