Musique et abolition du temps
Figures d'un ideal dans le roman contemporain
by Nathalie Avignon
Through the prism of three novels by R. Powers, H. Krausser, and L. Guirchovitch and in dialogue with texts representative of the Western musical imaginary, this study examines the illusion that music has the power to counteract the passage of time, its intimate wounds, and the diremptions of history.
