Review - French La Renaissance francaise ignore les troubadours occitans jusqu'a la publication desVies des plus celebres et anciens Poetes provensauxde Jean de Nostredame (1575). A partir des forgeries elaborees par cet erudit provencal, plusieurs discours se constituent et s'entrecroisent. Les premiers historiens de la litterature francaise integrent les troubadours dans l'histoire litteraire nationale tandis que se repand une version mondaine du troubadour galant. En Languedoc, des erudits developpent les premisses d'une conscience historique qu'il s'agit d'articuler avec une identite nationale en construction. Autour des troubadours qu'on ne lit pas et qu'on ne parvient pas a editer se nouent des enjeux litteraires, sociaux et politiques.
