Volume 3 concentrates on literary figures that rebelled against traditional conventions, such as Lucretius, Catullus, Propertius, Tibullus, and Ovid. German text.
English summary: The three-volume synoptical and introductory work “Groae romische Autoren. Texte und Themen” (great Roman writers, texts and subjects) presents key texts in Roman literature (bilingual Latin-German) along with its interpretation and contributions oriented towards specific subjects. It is designed to provide complementary and in-depth reading and reference material for the study of literary history. Staying close to the original texts, the volumes illustrate the works of the most significant literary figures of ancient Rome. Volume III concentrates on literary figures that rebelled against traditional conventions, such as Lucretius, Catullus, Propertius, Tibull and Ovid.

"Professor von Albrecht has found a convenient way to publish many of his essays in a form that is useful, both to advanced students of Latin literature and to general readers, who might be interested both in the individual essays and in the breadth and coverage of these wonderful companion pieces to his standard history of Latin literature." -- Geert Lernout, Bryn Mawr Classical Review, 2014.05.59
