Bazon Brock, Denker im Dienst und Kunstler ohne Werk, gehort zu den eigensinnigsten Intellektuellen unserer Zeit. Ein Urgestein der bundesdeutschen Kulturgeschichte, der als Kunstler und Weggefahrte von Joseph Beuys wie als Professor fur Asthetik und Kulturvermittlung wirkte. Er entwickelte die Methode des Action Teaching und fuhrte 1968 bis 1992 in Kassel durch die von ihm begrundeten documenta-Besucherschulen. Uwe Schutte unternimmt den bewusst subjektiven Versuch einer Annaherung an das vielgestaltige, vielschichtige Denkwerk des Philosophen. Nicht die Biografie von Brock steht dabei im Vordergrund, sondern die Zusammenhange und Kontexte seiner Denkarbeit. Es zeigt sich, wie das Brock’sche Denkwerk seine Zeitgenossenschaft unter Beweis stellt und bedenkenswerte Impulse fur aktuelle Diskurse liefert.
