| Of the papers published in the Proceedings of the 10th International Scientific Meeting on Hellenistic Pottery, we obtain a general broad vivid picture in the period 4th-1st c. BC. In this picture, it seems that the territories of metropolitan Greece make up a chain of dense financial and political contacts that establish affinities and recreations in the art of the time and in artisanal productions. Stratigraphic units for the dating of monuments, and geographical units for ascertaining the local identity of vases and other vessels, particularly as regards their use, compose the multifaceted and revealing picture of Hellenistic pottery production. |
