Dietrich Reimer Verlag
Dietrich Arnold Reimer founded the Dietrich Reimer Book and Map Shop in 1845. In addition to publishing geographical and cartographic works, the publishing house also devoted itself to archaeology and what was then called “art objects.” Dietrich Reimer’s successors expanded the publishing spectrum to include disciplines such as ethnology and African studies. Today the publishing house focuses on art history, architecture, archaeology, ethnology, and cultural studies. With over 1000 available titles from various scientific disciplines, Reimer Verlag is an integral part of the German-speaking publishing landscape.
