English summary: Karl Ernst Osthaus had the Hohenhof in Hagen (today part of the Osthaus Museum Hagen) built by Henry van de Velde in 1906-08 as a comprehensive artwork. The Hohenhof was the residence of the Osthaus family and the hub of a modernist network. Christin Ruppio analyzes it as a programmatic building in which the ideals of the reform movements were exemplified.
