English summary: The usefulness of psychoanalysis to other scientific fields was initially raised by Freud. Yet the question of whether psychoanalysis should rely on or might be enriched by other scientific disciplines began being addressed–if sporadically–only as of the 1980s, and there has been little change in this situation since. Reducing this knowledge deficit was the essential motivation for the present volume. Representatives of the fields of medicine, philosophy, theology, psychology, education, sociology, literature and linguistics were invited to offer their experiences and thoughts on their encounters with psychoanalysis, whereas psychoanalysts were asked to reflect upon the potentials of these disciplines for themselves and for their field. A volume has thus emerged that both points psychoanalysis in new directions of cooperation with other sciences and allows novel perspectives to emerge in these other disciplines, perspectives which will be hard to renounce in the future. German description: Sigmund Freud hat sich schon 1913 Gedanken daruber gemacht, welche Wissenschaften ein besonderes Interesse an der Psychoanalyse haben konnten. Er nannte in diesem Zusammenhang Psychologie (vor allem Entwicklungspsychologie), Sprachwissenschaften, Philosophie, Biologie, Kulturgeschichte, Kunstwissenschaften, Soziologie und Padagogik. Dass die Psychoanalyse umgekehrt vom Wissen anderer Wissenschaften profitiert, war ihm zwar bewusst, schliesslich hatte er selbst fundierte Kenntnisse in diesen Gebieten, er ging diesen Bezugen aber nicht ausdrucklich nach, sondern beliess es bei der Hoffnung auf reiche Verknupfungen. In welchem Ausmass die Psychoanalyse heute von zahlreichen Wissenschaften herangezogen wird, um sich selbst, ihre Erkenntnisinteressen, ihre Forschungsgegenstande und ihre Wirkungen zu verstehen, belegt ein Fulle von Publikationen. Im Laufe der Zeit hat auch die Psychoanalyse erkannt, dass sie auf das Wissen anderer Wissenschaften angewiesen ist, um hinsichtlich ihrer zentralen Aufgaben Heilung und Kulturkritik nicht zu veralten und um ihr Gewicht im Rahmen des Wissenschaftssystems zu verstarken. Der Band macht anhand von je zwei Beitragen aus der Psychoanalyse einerseits und Medizin, Philosophie, Theologie, Psychologie, Padagogik, Soziologie, Literatur- und Sprachwissenschaften andererseits die gegenseitige Bereicherung sichtbar.
